Environ 15 % sont utilis\u00e9s dans la production d&#8217;alliages \u00e0 base de zinc, principalement pour approvisionner l&#8217;industrie du moulage sous pression, 14 % servent \u00e0 la production de laiton et de bronze, et 8 % \u00e0 la production de compos\u00e9s tels que l&#8217;oxyde de zinc et le sulfate de zinc. Le reste regroupe les alliages de zinc, principalement lamin\u00e9s, utilis\u00e9s dans les applications semi-manufactur\u00e9es, dont notamment les applications de frappe de monnaie et d&#8217;architecture.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>Ces fournisseurs de premier usage transforment le zinc en une large palette de produits. Le plus grand domaine d&#8217;application est de loin le b\u00e2timent, qui utilise 45 % de tous les produits en zinc de premier usage. Le secteur des transports consomme 25 % de la consommation mondiale de zinc et les biens de consommation (dont les appareils \u00e9lectriques et \u00e9lectroniques) en utilisent 23 %.
