UNICOIL has downstream facilities to slit Galvanized steel coils and pre-painted steel coils into narrower widths according to customer requirements as per technical data given in Table 1. UNICOIL has commissioned a new state- of- the- art precision slitting line in Year 2026 to its metal processing capabilities and the revised product capability for slit coil requirement is given in Table 2. Required individual slit coil weights and pallet weights can be supplied. UNICOIL has a special slitting line to meet the requirements of the cable industry for the galvanized armor steel tape applications. UNICOIL can supply slit coils with inner diameters of 160 mm, 200mm and 300 mm.

Premium Packaging for Galvanized Slitted Coils
Galvanized steel slit coils are packed either vertically (“eye to the sky,” on pallets) or horizontally (“eye to the wall”), depending on the slit width and considering safety aspects for handling. For packing in the vertical position, each slitted coil is separated by wooden spacers for ease of handling, and each separated set of slitted coils is enveloped by VCI paper and placed on a strong wooden pallet. A steel outer ring is put around the set of slitted coils, and the entire set of slitted coils is tightly strapped to strong wooden pallets to ensure protection from damage during handling and storage. The horizontal packing is like that of galvanized steel coils.

Premium Packaging for Pre-Painted Slitted Coils
Pre-Painted Galvanized steel slit coils are packed vertically ( “eye to the sky,” on pallets) depending on the slit width and considering safety aspects for handling.
